About The CVB

The Marshalltown Convention & Visitors Bureau (MCVB) has been in operation since 1993. We are operational through the funding we receive from a percentage of the Motel | Hotel tax. Our office is located in the Fisher Community Center which was generously donated toour-building the community by William (Bill) Fisher and is the location of Christian Petersen’s final sculpture, “Dedication to the Future”.

The MCVB assists groups planning meetings, conventions, tournaments and events here in Marshalltown | Marshall County and we assist group tour planners to showcase Marshalltown as a destination for daily tours. See our Planners web page for information on our services.

We are the Hub for finding and posting events that are going on in Marshalltown | Marshall County. Events are added daily by community members, organizations and businesses offing events open to the public. Visitors and the community can find events to participate in on the Events web page.

Visitors can stop in our office and we can provide them with a Marshalltown Visitors Guide and other information about our beloved town. The guide replicates most of what we offer on our website but offers a personal touch.
