Immaculate Conception Cemetery Walk, Church Tour, & Edel Blacksmith Shop Tour
There will be a public cemetery walk at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Haverhill on September 22 at 2:00 p.m. followed by tours of Immaculate Conception Church and the Edel Blacksmith Shop. The purpose is to explore the history of the cemetery and the family histories of those buried there, including Matthew Edel, who crafted several of the markers in his blacksmith shop. St. Francis of Assisi Parish coordinators invite any family member to give a short talk about family members buried in the cemetery. They also welcome written histories for those who are unable to be there in person.
