Day Trip to Marshalltown: What You May Not Know!
Here is your chance! Join us for an inside view of some of those places and people in our community that have aroused our curiosity but that we have not been motivated to pursue in the past. This is our first annual tour of Marshalltown. We would like to make this an annual event, with a different selection of places and people that make Marshalltown a great place to live. Please register by Oct. 4. Caution: There will be short bus rides, some standing, some walking, and some stairs. The schedule for this day is ambitious, with much to see and learn, but it is sure to be interesting and enjoyable; oh the places we will go!
The planned itinerary includes: Docent tour of the Fisher Impressionist Collection, City Hall, Tremont Inn and lunch, plus the Marshalltown Community School District Administration and Anson Elementary, Gervich & Sons, and Grimes Farm. Fee includes bus transportation, coffee and donuts, lunch, and an ice cream treat. Limited seating.
Register now by calling Iowa Valley Continuing Education at: 641-752-4645.
